ATTRAVERSO LA PARETE DI VETRO
RICEZIONI DEL BUDDHISMO NELL’ARTE E NEL PENSIERO MITTLEUROPEI
Federico Filippo Fagotto
Starting from the end of the 19th Century, several experiences of links between Europe and the Far East countries have grown up together with the crisis that, from the Long Depression, was increasing and would have led to the World Wars. It can be plausible to affirm that mitteleuropean intellectuals and artists, particularly involved in that situation, took almost an advantage from their naive and not already specialized point of view towards the oriental studies, with the aim of finding, upon the new cultural horizon, possible solutions or occasions of escaping from the Old World’s decadence.
