This paper proposes a philosophical reflection on the role and the meaning of cinematographic critique. To read a text means to offer to the reader a «  piece of world  » created by the author: this is also true when it comes to « reading » a movie. The reviewer has a double job: he refers the images belonging to the director of the movie by challenging and comparing them to similar images he keeps inside himself. Moreover, not only he doesn’t use up the entirety of its meaning, but he tries to highlight some of them, sometimes even the dreams the movie evokes
