C’È UN’ESTETICA DELEUZIANA?
TREDICI BREVI PENSIERI SUL SENSIBILE

Fulvio Carmagnola

Which is the meaning of the word sentiendum, a word we can find in the main work by Gilles Deleuze, Différence et répetition? It’s the core term to think about a possible “aesthetic” – neither a theory of sensitive knowledge, nor a conceptual and organic theory of Art. So, we can understand this word as a name to show the breaking point of a practice: the “trascendent practice of sensitiveness”, putting our sensitiveness out of joint. In Deleuze’s thought we cannot find it by a systematic conceptual research, but by an extreme experience of a network of singularities. Every singular extreme experience as a paradigm, or “specimen for a general rule we cannot exhibit a priori”. Paradigm (as in Agamben) is similar to an aesthetical Idea (as in Kant). So, not Art as a system, but art-works (singularities, events) become warning signs for art as Resistance.
