CORPI, NATURA E OGGETTI
CON E OLTRE GILLES DELEUZE

Rosario Trimarchi

This paper aims to develop a theoretical account of Nature and Objects using the conceptual tools provided by the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze. By examining the practice of philosophy in Deleuze’s thought—particularly his overcoming of representationalism—we proceed with a sort of counter-epoché. Through this process, we explore, using the conceptual device of the house, how we might access the transcendental dimension, considered as the foundation for the creation of concepts. Love and illness, as paradigmatic experiences of deterritorialization, serve as means for a radical reduction to the spontaneous and impersonal transcendental field, namely the Outside. In this perspective, the proliferation of worlds takes place, allowing virtuality to emerge within the tightly woven fabric of actuality. Having accessed this pre- or rather post-human field, we attempt to sketch a philosophy of Nature, developing the speculative implications of the concept of friche. In the final part, we explore objects in their relationship with the human body, illustrated through the examples of a mismatched glove and the practice of weightlifting. In both these cases, it is extreme need, understood as a new sensible entry to the transcendental dimension, to stimulate the process of bodily creation and thinking metamorphosis.
