LO SPAZIO DELLA DIFFERENZA FRA IL VIRTUALE E L’ATTUALE

The aim of this paper is to provide a reading of the entire philosophy of Gilles Deleuze based on the concept of time. The discussion of this theme brings me to take into account the key concept of the crystal, which plays a central role in the comprehension of the topic and allows me to extend the discussion to the complex relation between actual and virtual. Through this reading, I offer a temporal interpretation of the concrete expression of the difference as intended by Deleuze, i.e., as a material process of creation, transformation and reinterpretation of the given, of the past, in function of the inner potentiality of the bodies, of the experiences, and of the states of things projected in the domain of the future. A process that expresses itself especially in the artistic process, and in particular through cinema. I also try to offer a comparison of Deleuze’s ideas with the classics of western philosophy, based on the conviction that this is an actual expression of the complex creative and hermeneutical process of the French philosopher, that very much has in common with the concrete expressions of his reinterpretation of the concept of time.​
