The article focuses on the Martha C. Nussbaum’s essay La filosofia al servizio dell’umanità appeared in the international philosophical review “Vita e Pensiero” (3/2017). The author analyzes the Nussbaum’s theses in a critical way, underlining the fact that the idea of philosophy which emerges from this essay isn’t enough grounded and overall Nussbaum’s considerations seem to be a little redundant from a European perspective.
