This article proposes an overview of the works of a contemporary American scholar, Elliot Wolfson, one of the main researcher on Jewish Studies and Kabbalah. The interest for this author, whose works are not yet translated in Italian, sparks from a unique philosophical angle employed in the analysis and discussion of themes taken from religious and traditional sources. The article focuses in particular on the theme of imagination, a central and recurring motif in the works of Elliot Wolfson, and discusses the philosophical implications of this theme as it can be deduced from kabbalistic sources.
