L’INCONSCIO IN MUSICA: STUDIO SU ALCUNI KLAVIERSTÜCKE DI SCHÖNBERG
Armando De Vidovich
The author’s starting point is the analysis of some piano “pieces” of Schönberg (in particular the third one among the “Klavierstücke op. 19”) in order to introduce his fundamental principle: music has to be considered as a system of thought and not merely as a communication of feelings and emotions. For the critical analysis, several elements from Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” are also investigated, showing how the ways of listening and fruition may differ when the music is integrated with a text and when it is not.
