PERSONAGGI IN CERCA DI AUTORE
NIETZSCHE, LA DIFFICOLTÀ E IL DESIDERIO DI DIRE “IO”
Maria Cristina Fornari
In this article, I explore the tension between the difficulty and the desire to affirm the “I” in Nietzschean philosophy. Firstly, I will show how Nietzsche deconstructs the subject as a stable entity, seeing it as a linguistic illusion, while at the same time reevaluating its construction as an artistic process. The “I” thus becomes a dynamic expression of the will to power, to be consciously shaped. In the second part of the article, I will engage with Leiter’s and Nehamas’ interpretations of the relationship between fatalism and self-determination, arguing that Nietzsche does not advocate surrendering to fate but rather an ethical work on one’s form of life. In this perspective, his philosophy is not just theory but a transformative practice of the self.
