SOCRATE, PLATONE E NIETZSCHE: CHI E’ IL FILOSOFO?

LA FILOSOFIA TRA ASILO ACCADEMICO E OPINIONE COMUNE

Raffaele Mirelli

The aim of this paper is to consider philosophy outside the academy and its influence on people. This intent is carried out through an analysis of two different events that characterized – as the author intend to show – the history of western philosophy. This paper wants to pose these questions: did Plato try to defend philosophers in founding the academy? And, on the other hand, did Nietzsche do the opposite by creating a new philosophical figure as the Wanderer or as Zarathustra, thus symbolically locating the philosophers outside the academy?
