UNA SVOLTA PER L’IMMAGINE
Elio Franzini
The current issue of the “iconic turning point” should be treated with caution at the theoretical level. The sense of the image has changed over time for subsequent technological discoveries but the danger is to assume the idea that some symbolic events may change the structure of vision while this is maintaining its essential characterization. The real turning point is to retrieve the sense of the image. The image allows to exhibit the symbolic sense of perception and to understand the mediation of the cognitive relationship between the gaze that affirms and together the object qualities that are learned. The experience of the symbolic image recalls the notion of “fungent intent” of the last Husserl. It is not limited to the “first glance” but collects the different levels of sense of sensitive intuition in a unifying perspective.
